Accredited training that leads to work

I Care Resource Centre has delivered accredited skills training since 2011, working with SETAs, government departments and implementing partners to move unemployed youth, women and adults into employment and self-employment. Our training is practical, workshop-based and assessed against nationally registered standards.

Accredited by FP&M SETA and AgriSETA.

Early childhood development

ICRC has run a non-centre-based playgroup programme in Drieziek and Orange Farm, since 2011. It currently reaches around 100 children under the age of six and receives an annual subsidy from the Gauteng Department of Education.

The programme is delivered by early learning facilitators, toy librarians and cooks, who are trained and mentored on the job. It includes a toy library and a daily nutrition component.

We work with parents and caregivers alongside the children. Parenting sessions, health and social service referrals, and caregiver support run in parallel with the playgroup, because the outcomes we care about depend on the household as much as on the child.

Services for employers, SETAs and implementing partners

Learnership and skills programme delivery End-to-end delivery of accredited programmes under contract: recruitment, facilitation, assessment, moderation, and learner upload for external moderation.

Skills development facilitation Workplace Skills Plans, Annual Training Reports, and SETA reporting support.

Assessment and moderation Registered constituent assessors and moderators for the qualifications within our scope.

Community-based training delivery Mobilisation, venue setup and delivery in township and rural sites, including sites without existing training infrastructure.

Projects

ICRC has a fifteen-year record of delivering training under contract to public bodies, private consultancies and development agencies. It has worked with the Independent Development Trust on environmental and land rehabilitation training; with Mtiya Dynamics and Dzunisani Consulting on clothing, furniture, and upholstery manufacturing programmes; and with the Gauteng Department of Arts and Culture on enterprise development for women, to name a few.

Alongside contracted delivery, ICRC has attracted project funding from the National Lotteries Commission, the DG Murray Trust and the Department of Social Development.
